Malaysian Bar urges Terengganu, federal govts to relook public caning

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26 — The Malaysian Bar today urged the Terengganu government and the federal government to reconsider public caning by reviewing and amending laws that permit such punishments to ensure they are proportionate, rehabilitative, and considerate of human dignity.
